Albums

The discography of American rock group Toto includes 13 studio albums, four live albums, and several compilations. In addition to the release of original music, Toto has also done collaborations with other artists as well as on soundtracks for films. The band has won multiple Grammy Awards for their work.

Before Toto was formed The members of the band performed sessions for other musicians. Drummer Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate and keyboardist David Paich (the son of session percussionist Marty Paich and brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro) played on Boz Scaggs 1975 album Silk Degrees. Toto was formed in 1976 as a result of the collaboration.


Turn Back, Toto's third studio album, was criticized by critics for not having hit singles. In 1985 the group's singer Fergie Frederiksen resigned from the group, and the band held auditions for a new frontman. Guitarist Steve Lukather was chosen, and the group recorded their 1986 album Fahrenheit.

In 1998, Toto celebrated its 20th anniversary by re-discovering old demos and tapes to release a special edition called Toto XX. The album was well-loved by fans and the band embarked upon an extensive tour with former members Bobby Kimball Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams.

During the tour for the album 40 Trips Around the Sun The drummer Leland Sklar quit the group and was replaced by Shem von Schroeck. In the year 2017, Toto released the double-CD set Falling in Between. It included recordings from the tour as well as an interview with the group.
